The book examines the rise and decline of the Lake Huron Chinook salmon fishery in Rogers City, Michigan, blending his CMU research and personal fishing experiences with insights from locals.

CMU researchers won Best Paper at the 24th GBATA Conference for their study on "Electronic Health Records." Graduates Ferdousi Zaman, Brenden Roth, Professor Mark Cwiek, and Dean George Kikano examined how EHRs reduce medical errors and improve data management, while addressing burnout and privacy concerns.

https://www.cmich.edu/graduate/programsCayla Mitzkovitz, a recent clinical psychology doctoral graduate, studied the link between PTSD and internet gaming disorder (IGD). Her research found that individuals with PTSD may develop problematic gaming as a coping mechanism for trauma-related mood and cognitive changes. She will continue her work at the Edith Nourse Rogers VA in Bedford, Massachusetts.

The Xenia Quartet, four CMU graduate students, received a Summer Study Grant to attend the "I Suoni di Sillene" Chamber Music Festival in Italy. Violinists Benjamin Bernardes and Francesca Azzollini, cellist Haziel Santos, and violist Erick Tinitana will study under Dr. Alicia Valoti and Prof. Paolo Andreoli, aiming to share their experiences with the CMU community.
